COP is growing!

In the last year, we've added quite a few new members to the CoP! Chris married his lady, Julie in May '08, followed by Brian and Lindsey's marriage only a week later! Aaron married his beauty, Rachel, in November '08. Joey and his wife Natalie welcomed their first baby, Jonas, into the world in January '09. And there are two more babies on their way in the next few months! Whew! Quite a change in only a year!

We haven't forgotten our love for music though. It's taking some time, but we are gearing up for a new season of writing and we can't wait to see what comes of it all! We finally found a new practice facility and are looking forward to letting the creativity flow.

Youth are awesome!

Wow, am I tired! I just got back from a youth retreat. I went to film the weekend and document everything that happened. I had a blast... I ended up playing percussion last minute with a really cool guy named Rocky. It was great to get away from cell phones and internet for a few days and just clear my head of all technology... the iPhone didn't work out there, which was probably an act from God telling me to just enjoy hanging out with the kids and to blob... Natalie, my wife, got blasted from the lake blobber (google it if you don't know what I'm talking about). It was one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed. The weather was perfect... well, for Texas anyways. It's really cool to see students changing their lives for the better. With God all things are possible to them that believe. I'm looking forward to Pilly's new material... we've started hashing out some new ideas for songs that I think will be pretty cool... i guess we'll see what happens.

Catching Up

well, i am certainly late in catching up to all my fellow bloggers... now that i don't work in front of a computer all day, i hardly ever get on the internet! when i am not working at the salon, i am either hanging with the B, working out, eating, at philly practices and prayer meetings, dancing, driving somewhere in between, or trying to catch up on laundry and finances!

update: i recently got my hair CHOPPED. it was getting stringy at the bottom and needed a good trim... well, it ended up getting a BIG trim.. up to my shoulders! it feels much better but i must say i DO miss the length for sure and will be growing it back out as quickly as i can!

music: i am thorougly enjoying my new FEIST cd (i hardly ever purchase cds--like once a year!) and there is no regretting this purchase--it is AMAZING! if you haven't heard it, you really must. i also recommend THE BRIDGES. find them--you will like them.

closing: i could probably write a lot more but then i would wear you out--if i haven't already...

Just a note to sing the praises of Aaron who is doing a great job organizing our web-site. He is also cracking the whip and getting us all involved with the blog. Philly will never be the same!Thank you Aaron for taking such good care of us.

yeah for aaron. Im new to blogging. Not sure how I will take to this form of venting. Feels a little awkward. Perhaps if someone could pose a question and we all sort of start a forum. Any ideas?

I don't know about you but iv never encountered a webmaster who moved as fast as my brother. Within minutes of the Chronicle piece being released after the stroke of midnight he was all ready designing a link and re arranging things.

I will try my best to follow his lead in keeping this site as current as possible with the contribution of my random perspective, thoughts and experiences to this journal so help me... please God?

hey gang - well. . . it's been like a year since we created this journal - and we've yet to make any journals :) (mainly because we forgot all of our login info)

so anyway, that's ALL gonna change - right here, right now! so look forward to some hardcore journaling coming from the philly camp :)
